CIBC's "MIRACLE DAY" BENEFITS COMPANIONS IN
COURAGE
Investment company donates more than $14,000
NEW YORK, NY, December 23, 2002 - Children's
Miracle Day is a one-day event during which CIBC
World Markets sales and trading staff and
financial consultants, donate their fees and
commissions to children's charities. This year,
Companions in Courage Foundation was the
recipient of $14,425 generated by the program.
The foundation will utilize the funds to
continue its work in building interactive game
rooms at children's hospitals throughout North
America.
CiC Foundation was nominated for the award by
Scott Lohan of CIBC World Markets in New York
City. Since 1984, Miracle Day, the first
Wednesday of each December, CIBC employees have
generated nearly $80 million for children the
world over. "Miracle Day is about our employees
making an ongoing commitment to children," said
Susan Storey, chair of the CIBC World Markets
Children's Miracle Foundation. "Miracle Day
provides one element of support for charities
requiring funding. But our employees and clients
extend that contribution to ensure the health,
well-being and education of all children by
committing their time and energy to
organizations 365 days a year, all around the
world."
All offices of CIBC World Markets in the United
States, Canada, Europe and Asia, as well as CIBC
Wood Gundy offices in Canada were a part of
Miracle Day 2002.

raise money for children's charities. We are
thrilled with the results this year, and we look
forward to continued growth in the years ahead,"
said Peter Feinberg, chairman of USA Miracle
Day.
