TEEN (and Dad) COMPLETE BORDER2BORDER BIKE RIDE
Last August, Long Island teenager Kent Gillin led his dad, Paul, on a more than 1,000-mile bike ride from Vancouver to San Francisco to benefit Companions in Courage Foundation. The pair are completing their Border2Border ride this summer with the final 630-mile leg, and will arrive in Tijuana on the 4th of July.
A daily account of their ride will be posted on their blog found on the CiC Foundation website at www.CiC16.org.
Last year, on the first leg of the journey, the Gillins raised more than $32,000 in support of the CiC Foundation. Proceeds from this year’s ride will go toward the building of a Lion’s Den Room at Huntington Hospital on Long Island in memory of Brianna Titcomb, a local teenager who was tragically killed in 2005.
