LaFontaine said, "We are truly fortunate to be able to add someone of Jerry's character and conviction to our board. He has demonstrated time and again that helping those less fortunate is an important part of his life. The kids who utilize Lions Den rooms are the big winners today."

Wood is a Managing Director of Morgan Stanley and works with the Firm's Management Committee on employee and client projects, focusing on Firmwide recruiting, talent management, Firm culture and leadership.

He first joined Morgan Stanley in 1978 as a Trader in Fixed Income. He was promoted to Vice President in 1985, Principal in 1987 and was elected to Managing Director in 1992. Mr. Wood also served as the National Sales Manager in Fixed Income.

At the room's opening he asserted that he wanted to do more to assist the delivery of these special rooms to kids in other hospitals. He will be well-positioned to do that from his new role in the organization.
