Celebrities and Executives Enjoy Winged Foot

MAMARONECK, NY, October 5, 2004 - A beautiful day dawned on the historic Winged Foot Golf Club today as Pat LaFontaine hosted the 2nd Annual Companions in Courage Foundation Golf Classic.

LaFontaine said, "Today was a special day on two fronts. It was great to bring the leaders in business together in a relaxing atmosphere with some of the premier athletes in sports. But most importantly, we were able to bring everyone to the new Lion's Den Room at Maria Fareri Hospital. For the first time, the guys were able to see kids benefiting from the room they all helped build."

Merrill Lynch and Allied Domecq QSR served as primary sponsors for the event. Each company was represented by some of the elite from their firms, and helped contribute to the raising of more than $250,000 during the day. Pat LaFontaine led a contingent of celebrities that included actor Denis Leary, baseball's David Cone, and Hockey Hall of Famers Marcel Dionne, Brad Park, Lanny McDonald, Bryan Trottier and Clark Gillies.

They were joined by a group of current NHL stars including Alexei Kovalev, Adrian Aucoin, Rick DiPietro, Bryan McCabe and Michael Peca.
